A refillable candle separates the pot from the wax. Instead of buying a whole new candle each time, you keep the handmade pot and simply replace the wax insert inside it. The vessel stays with you looking beautiful, while only the part that burns gets replaced.

How does the refill work in practice?

When your candle has burned down, you simply lift out the spent insert and drop in a fresh one. No mess, no tools, no fuss. You can switch scents each time if you like, or stick with your favourite. 

Each Malmo Home refill insert gives you around 30 hours of burn time, hand-poured with 100% soy wax and a FSC-certified wood wick that crackles cosily as it burns.

Why does it matter?

Most candles on the market are single use. The wax burns, the vessel gets thrown away, and you buy another. Over time, that adds up to a lot of waste, and a lot of money spent on something that could easily be designed differently.
