Our Story

My love of candles started long before Malmö Home.

When I was six or seven, I would help my nan wrap and box candles for people in her local community. I loved everything about it, from the candles themselves to wrapping them up ready for someone else to take home.

That fascination never really left me.

Years later, another love found its way into the mix: concrete and cement. I’ve always been drawn to their raw surfaces, weight and texture, and eventually the two things came together. That was where the first ideas for Malmö Home began.

Today, we make our pieces by hand in our Merseyside workshop, including our refillable candle pots. Each ready-made candle refill simply pops into the pot when the previous one is finished. No pouring, no making, just choose your next fragrance and keep the pot you already love.

What started with a little girl helping her nan wrap candles has grown into an award-winning British home fragrance brand ☺️
